There is powdercoating that looks like chrome, but it will eventually dull and look "yellowish" due to it not having a clearcoat powdercoat on it... so when the clearcoat is on it, it's just "silver" that's shiny. Smooth the casting marks and all the "rough" parts. Basically do it like you're polishing it, but stop at about 180 grit. Here's mine... I didn't sand down "all" of the casting marks, but I was happy [ www.trgcoating.com ] did it for me for $90.00 including return shipping.
