Message Got into a discussion with someone earlier today about the fuel delivery needs to push a Z32 into the 1,000 and above HP area. Of course, I have no intentions of doing this but was just trying to wax intelligently about it.

His claim - the Border 850cc injectors would supply adequate fuel delivery for well over 1,000+ hp consistently for a given period of time.

My rebutle - the Border 850cc injectors would supply a good amount of fuel for the HP need but I still believe that adding additional injector (another 1 injector per cylinder, so basically 2 sets of injectors per cylinder) would be needed.

I only stated this, due to the fact I remember a Bomex Salt Land sponsored Z32 ran a 12 injector setup for push around the 950+ area. They just taped the plenum runners to run the additional injectors. I would think with all the new advancments and research available now in these later days on the Z, one could easily break the 1,000hp mark on a real comparisson. Not just cheating and using dyno tricks to accomplish the goal.

Argue away. Just a informal conversation.

Please no cheating, and keep your eyes on your own paper.
