But most were pre-82 or post-'88. The 80's were bad years for most muscle cars... With a little work, the '80-81 Turbo TA can fly. Guy that I worked with while in high school was a big TA fanatic... But he was also very good at building them up. His daily driver was a 12sec TA. I wanna say it was a '78, but I'm not sure. Pretty sure it was a 455cid. But his '80 TTA was deceptively fast, especially on the freeway. I think he backed off at 160, which was plenty fast enough for me.
