it is difficult to enforce a law like that though. If they took it to court, they'd likely get out of it because arguing if it was under or over a half mile isn't something that a radar can be brought into. FWIW, I got a pulled over for it the 3rd day it was passed. I wasn't holding up traffic (early Saturday morning on 290, no one around), but he stopped me for that. For a couple months on my way to Ultimate Z when I worked there I'd see the highway patrol working a single highway, 4 or 5 squad cars just looking for people doing that. You are right, though. It's not as enforced anymore. I think if they ever develop some instrument to document how long you were in the lane, it'd make it a lot easier for them to prosecute and therefore, it'd be much more enforced.i.e. do you think cops would write as many speeding tickets if laser and radar didn't exist? If it's easy to get the charge dropped, they'll view it as a waste of time and let it go.
