I went to the SCCA Nationals event at New Hampshire International Speedway with the ZCCNE yesterday. We were given a "Nickel Tour", which is basically all access except the hot areas (track). I took quite a few photos and saw waaaay too many cars that I can't remember. So if my descriptions aren't fully on point, I'm sorry in advance. Also, I somehow managed to take photos of the Z cars that showed up... doh. There was 1 240, two 280's, my 85 and a 91 300ZX.The weather was shitty, cloudy with long periods of hard rain. I was trying to huddle under a small umbrella, behind a chain link fence and shoot (not fun). Next time I will apply for photographer's credentials, so I can get in front of that damned fence. I was shooting a D70 with 18-70 and 70-300mm lenses. First race group was GT1/2/3, which is mainly tube frame cars. SCCA's website surely has more information on the classes. First and second place battling before turn 3:
First place, this Vette absolutely destroyed everyone:
 Last place:
Poor guy got rear ended turning into 3 by the Mustang below after the Stang took the corner too fast and lost grip in the rain. Little yellow guy spun out completely, lost his passenger rear tailight. The Mustang only suffered a loss of his front driver side headlight and finished the turn without problem. Bastard.
This TERMINATOR Vette spun out in Turn 3 and as a result, began dragging 3 tires (barrior tires) beneath his car behind his front passenger wheelwell for about half a lap. I'm not quite sure how he got them unhooked, but it was a funny sight to see him tearing up the track with unwanted extra baggage.
 Porsche GT3 car spinout:
 Cockpit of said Porsche:
That car (and the others maybe too) had an interesting lift setup. The tech would pressurize a large nipple in the front engine bay and the entire car would lift on steel supports already installed beneath the car. I was too busy trying to figure out WTF they were doing to get a picture The Panoz for some reason is grouped with the other tube cars, however, it's not a fully tube frame car itself, and thus weighs more and is less competitive in that class:
 Rear:
 Cockpit:
I was looking forward to the GT2 300ZX but he didn't show, nor did 2 other 350's (of three). WTF? Different class, RX-7 that hauled ass and took first:

Nice 510:
 2nd Place "Cop" car:
Different class again, smaller forumla cars on turn 6 that absolutely HAULED ass around the track:
 More:
Reaaaaaaly old dude driving (saw him prior to the race start):
I didn't stick around for the end of this race as I was soaked and miserable. Overall had a great time though, and would definitely do it again if I could get inside the chain linked fence. Here's the link to the remaining 280 or so photos I took.
