| A week ago today I went over to Nixit's place and we took some video of his car with the leadergears (this was a few days before he took his Z offroading). Nixit's shop that installed the gears changed some of the preload settings as an experiment. The results were gears that were VERY loud. Since that install multiple sources have confirmed that the gears have quieted down alot(but nixit still plans to bring them back in and have the preload reset to the recommended specs). So since the sound has quieted down some, he wanted to take some video before and after he gets the preload settings put back to stock to see the difference.
This is obviously the before set of video.
It is set up in four parts. The first two are alot larger (since I forgot to compress the audio on those), and are pretty much pointless video of me recording nixit's car, us cruising to the "test track" and me basically trying to get comfortable with the camera I had never used before(yes I know I'm a sucky camera man - you don't need to tell me). The video you want to check out is the highway pull and the last two if you are so inclined.
Viewers should be warned nothing exciting happens in these videos they were mostly recorded to hear the sound and even that is not truly representative of what they will sound like when installed using the recommended specs. So, basically this about as exciting as a (poorly filmed)documentary, consider yourselves warned (try it with the lights off since much of the video is VERY dim). This is out side footage of Nixit driving his car down the street and back, (per my request). Cool to watch nixit's face as a menacing light flickers in his face as he starts the car.
