because of the structure. I have enough rules to follow in every other aspect of my life and I don't want to deal with it in my hobbies too. I always wondered why it was worth enthusiasts time to deal with presidents, VPs, treasurers, bylaws, budgets, yays and neys etc etc... Seems to take all the fun out of it. Some of the best gatherings I've been to have been the ones that are thrown together in a couple days. We get together at one guys house, park, look, wrench, shoot the shit and go home. The meets at Silvertwin's house are great because we just hang out without wondering if we've attended enough meetings to be worthy of being there. The ECZA spring meet I went to last year was great but I wasn't responisble for anything and anyone was allowed to show up. And we didn't have to vote on how to spend the last $143 dollars in the treasury. I don't see how Pat did it. To each his own I guess. The relevance to this post is that it seems attendance is always a problem in these clubs and it's probably because it's more work than fun. I can see why the dude got fed up and left.
