Message	cars with aftermarket exhaust manifolds most aftermarket exhaust manifolds are known to crack, so flex pipes take some on the vibration of the exhaust system away, and doesnt put pressure on the manifolds stock manifolds are fine, there are thousands of Z's with stock manifolds driving with no problems
