It might be worth it.  But an extra upshift in the straight also means an extra downshift, so 2 extra shifts.  Plus I have a feeling it would end up choosing between a few seconds at redline staying in 4th (constant speed vs accelerating), or going to 5th for just a brief second (if it's too quick it would be negated by the shift time).   I don't know.  I'm very intrigued.  Like I said, I'm going to pay closer attention in my first few events to see when it might affect me.  The lightened flywheel made an amazing difference, and I think this might be similar...we shall see.  I'm not going to rule out a mod that would benefit 99% of the time just because it necessitates an extra shift on one track.  Then again, I'm broke (on purpose), and I refuse to spend money willy-nilly on my car anymore.
