| Ok. So after yesterdays hose debacle - see Today's Lesson - Sudden Loss of Boost is HeartStopping - and subsequent repair, I figured today is the day to really hit it and take the turbo'ed NA WOT from a standstill all the way to 100 MPH and see if anything would break. So far all of you have heard me blab on about low end torque and power because of the high compression and the gearing. While that is all true - that is not what I am talking about today. Here is the story, gear by gear >>> First Gear from a standstill >>> Nail the throttle, a little wheel spin, boost rising steadily to 7 point something, nice (but already seen this movie), boost seems to fall off somewhere after 5000 rpm, shift Second gear >>> vacuum for a second, now boost, a little wheelspin (interesting - NA never did that), boosting mid 7's again, accelerating good, shifting just before 60 mph Third gear >>> Whoa, boost is here RIGHT NOW, 60 mph is long gone, rapidly coming up on 90, WOWWWW!!!!, 6000ish rpm, pay attention and shift dummy!! Fouth gear >>> Better lay off the boost, think I hit about 110, coasting now at 100 MPH, WAIT A MINUTE - "COASTING AT 100 MPH????" - better slow down, it's a 55 zone. Profec B (still set to 0) recorded a "natural" boost of 7.7 psi during this run. Grins all around - this Boosting sh*t is really addictive :)
