I need to throw in a disclaimer about my z. I HAD yoko. avs sports until I added z1 stage 1 turbos & doolz. At the time of this story, the rear tires did not exist...literally. About 3 weeks ago, I was going home late from work. the route I always take is a dark and rather traffic free trip after 7:00. As I topped a hill before the small, side exit to a Kroger grocery store, I see a Hummer at the exit to the right. Now, I must say I was not speeding, recklessly. The limit was 45, and I was doing maybe 50. As I reach maybe 100 feet or less, the Hummer bolts out!! Not another soul on the road here!!! Like the driver missed my headlights? So, I try to evede by going to the left since there are no cars coming (braking). Then the Hummer goes a little wide. So, now I correct to the right, and my tire break traction! Next thing I do is pull back to the left, and I drift into a curb....EVEN with both passenger wheels!! Well, I have Volk Racing GTAs. I was not a happy camper! I was not aware of the damage...yet. I tried flashing lights and blowing my horn..nothing. I hate Hummers!!!! But, I will remember what it looked like, and I always carry a knife...J/K.
So, at the gas station, I see that both wheels are tilted in.
GREAT!!! Next morning, I call John at Z1, to give him my bad news and his good news. Bottom line is, if you see a Hummer, assume it was purchased for a terrible driver that wants to kill people on the road and keep driving. God save my Volks!!!!!!!
