Message They were created (I know now) by having a shop wet sand the car, it looked outstanding but shortly started having those scratchy looking stripes that you descibed. And just to further agree with you about color matching, if the flake isn't laid down in the same direction, the carlooks like a two tone incertain light and from certain angles. I have a number of places on my (platinum mist) Silver Z32 that has those stripes, but the color underneath looks fine. So can I have a competent (as appossed to an incompetent) paint shop lay a thin layer of clear over the existing paint...and then polish that layer of clear? I was told that the car had to be painted (color wise), and that the clear coat wouldn't cover correctly (this would save me a load of $$ if clear can indeed be used to at least reduce that striping, as the color itself is perfect). Any additional suggestions/insight is welcomed. Thank you, Mark
