: Is it a difficult process? I looked at the tech write up and the part about removing the brake pads has me uneasy. I don't have an experience with taking out brake pads and putting them back in, how hard is it to do that? Do you need any special tools to do this? Would I need to torque anything on the brake setup to put the pads back in? This leads to my next question, how difficult is it to paint the calipers? I don't want to mess it up, so is there any special technique to use? Were the Z's brake calipers originally black with White letters? One last thing, anyone in the Bay Area have any experience doing this? If so, would anyone be willing to help me out? Let me know. Thanks and have a great day,eZ man. if you don't want to take the pads out, cover it. if you do take them out, all you need is a clamp to push the pistons back in. real easy. jsut make sure they are really clean. any dirt, oil, etc will cause the paint not to adhere properly. Get two cans of brake parts cleaner. It's also a good idea to use primer first, then lay down the paint, then follow with a clearcoat.
