I really think todays cars, 95% of them are ugly. Not because of the hardlines though, but because they all the rear end crunched much like the 350, Audi TT, and many other hatches. Even BMW and Mercedes are starting to adopt that trend with the squished and round rear ends. I don't think that is a great step to take. But the hard lines and lights on the new cars are what pushes car design forward. The reason the Z32 looks so wonderous is because it hardly has any hardlines and it still looks good. The shape of the Z32 is pretty much perfect. I can name many round cars that looked like there streamlined and are very ugly. I think the overall shape of a car has more impact than the lines as it only adds more depth and design to it.
