dealer's responsibility, but what occurred is not vandalism, but burglary and grand theft. You may want to nicely talk to the service manager about his cooperation and inform him that a police report is being made. In Los Angeles, each division has a "table" (unit) of detectives for major assault crimes, sexual assault, robbery/hoicide, AND auto burglary and theft. If you make a report, they have to follow up on it with an investigation. I'm not sure the administration of your local dealership would be thrilled about that. Try informing him (the General Manager in charge of srevice), and if you don't get things straightened out to your satisfaction make a police report.....in fact you might want to just make the report (ask for a "U boat", meaning report car to respond to the location of the crime, the dealership).
