| How to install remote keyless entry for the 300ZX. 1.-start off by removing the door panel.
.-locate the locking/unlocking mechanism of the door.

.-install the actuator as close a possible to the mechanism.
.-there is plenty of room for the plunger between the glass and the frame.

.-once you install the actuator its time to start wiring, here is the overall schematic.

.-i used these wires for driving the solenoid, blue/white and black (already inside the door). In my case these wires were already there, compliments of my former Bose system.

.-i used the other end of these wires to send the signal from the relays to the solenoid (located in a connector above the fuse panel by the clutch).

.-proceed to label and wire your relays per the schematic

.-since many connections to +12VDC are required a used a terminal connector to make a power bus. I ran a fused line directly fromt the positive post of the battery.

.-proceed to install your relay assembly and power bus. i used the firewall, make sure the install does not interfere w/the clutch nor the brake pedals.

.-also, cover up your power bus, use electric tape or a piece of cardboard to cover it up and to avoid an accidental short. 12.-once all the wiring is completed is time to test it. i used a coat hager to test it (you will use this coat hanger to measure the final rod install). the rod that comes w/the kit is made out of very hard to work with metal, so i left it for the end.
.-at this point if you dont care about the stock alarm just disconnect the alarm module alltogether; else you will have to splice a couple more wires.
.-since the rod provided is very hard to work with i decided to do my own thing. Made a loop at one end

.-used a screw and a nut to secure this end to the locking mechanism. Do not overtighten the screw and make sure you use locktite or it will get lose eventually.

.-now measure the correct distance from the solenoid to the locking mechanism and make the appropriate bends in the rod.

.-do the final install.

.-now its time to interface to the stock alarm. you will need two more relays wired as shown in the full schematic. I mounted them on the firewall also, high above the brake pedal.

.-you will need to tap these two wires at the connector shown. arm (blue/red), disarm (gray/red).

.-I believe this is all theres to it. except for a couple of recommendations.
If i were to do it over, i would buy a keyless entry unit that has built in high power relays; hence avoiding all the wiring i had to do and the 4 relays i used. Wire 1 relay at a time and test it; else, you will have one big mess at end and it will be very hard to troubleshoot electrical mistakes.
