I had to slightly modify the bushings that came with the kit. With them in the shifter they would not fit into the shifter linkage. With a little utility knife action I was able to get them in. Then the vibration dampener was another story. I was able to get it together, but I'm not sure if it will stay together. The shifting is nice though. I have a custom shift knob that a buddy made in his metal shop. And I like the shift boot to fit right up against it. So I used a piece of PVC pipe on the top of the shifter before I put the boot back on to make the boot sit higher and the knob fits very snuggly. I like the shifter sitting lower though and this shifter does the job well. Having the shifter sit lower was one of the purposes of the custom shift knob.
