Message who you are dealing with. I've met some pretty dumb technicians in various places. However, I've also met a few that knew the Z32's inside and out better then many on here. Most will tell you they have no clue how to work on a z32 if they are honest, or will just give you some lame explanation so you will take your car somewhere else.
The dealership I'm at I would trust 3 out of 10 techs here to work on my car, and 1 of the 3 is myself, another having just left but owning 2 Z's himself knew A LOT about Z32's, (Z guru on most aspects of the car). The 3rd being knowledgeable hands-on wise, (past-experience and schooling), but not so much as specs, modifications, etc...
- and finally, I would like to say, you live in canada, all you have there are snowmobile and dogsled technicians, what would they know about cars? ;)
