Message It's not so much about reliability, we both know that from the achievements of the motor. It's a case of useable power, 1.5 liters of displacement Pre turbo, room and fitment, customizing, etc. The power in which people are looking for is not going to come from 3.0 liters when they use a turbo or turbo's that exceeds the motors ability to drive the component effectively. Like yourself, I've spoken to David ( Sparkie for many years via AIM ). Though I won't disclose our conversation on this public forum. But trying to get a VG motor to run a larger twin turbo set up and yet be usable at the same time is not going to happen. The inline as you know regardless Toyota, Nissan is going to be a better choice of response using all six piston's at the same time, all the time.

Supra's have the same affect with it's 3.0 liters when they run a twin turbo set up. They use 3 pistons pre turbo, like a VG. But do you see anyone of them going higher than HKS 2835's? Do you see them putting on a TD06/20g kit? Nope, because they will suffer then same lag affect. Like what Ken H. had to do, add a HKS stroker kit to his car to get the response out of it. While everyone else will go single. Even using a SP77 ( as you know ) has a lag affect still using all 6 pistons and it spools around 4500rpm and full boost by 5500rpm's. It produces 950 to 990rwhp max. Can you ever a VG motor running two of these? When Z1 went to dyno their TD06/20g Z, how much Nos did they use? Was it a 200 shot? Bottom line is the VG is a reliable motor, yet it's limited to other motors used in a forced induction way. A Turbo is an exhaust driven part, more exhaust better response and more options. Aside from that, fitment is a big issue on a Z32 as you know better than most.

Good luck on the project and as always, keep me updated. I truly enjoy watching the creation.
