| > In no means am I trying to side with anyone here either, but to sell a product you would need pictures of the car from today or most recent, not 2 months ago or whenever. Those pics were not from 2 months ago. The car was painted, the pics were taken, and the car went up on ebay within a matter of days. :If the car was repainted by a professional it should show no signs of imperfections, fading or any thing of the sort, unless its a Maaco job. A new paint job would not be classified as "doesn't look that bad". Why spend $2000+ for a crap paint job?
It isnt faded or "anything of the sort", and I know it wasnt done by Maaco. I only said "doesnt look that bad" because he was trying to make it sound like it looks like shit--And I was simply pointing out it doesnt look "that bad", "that" being his description of the car. :Unfortunately the buyer lives in a different state, unless the seller was being honest and reports all the flaws on the car, there is no way for the buyer to know prior hand that he's bidding on something he doesn't want.
I believe that Kyle was being honest. I believe he answered all questions that were asked and was straight forward about the car. I believe the buyer was quick to jump on the car without trying to determine if he should ahve or not. And in that effort, he wasted everyones time and money--Namely, the price it costs to list the car on ebay. :Its sorta like when you bid on a Ferrari and you see the car in person you get a Fiero kit car because the seller kindly left that out.
Thats a *BIG* difference than what were talking about here. Like I said, I dont think Kyle was dishonest about the paint. But lets go with that: Would you be so stupid as to bid on a Ferrari without some verification as to what youre buying, without asking questions? Without doing some research into the car? I am of the firm opinion that all the people standing up for the buyer here are only taking the stance they are out of empathy. If Kyle had posted here *first* and said, "This guy doesnt want to pay for the ebay costs, blah blah blah" I feel like everyone would be rooting for him. Despite that, the guy bid on the car, which is a legal contract of sorts, and I dont think he was deceived. I take this point of view to my grave: He at VERY least should pay for the cost to list the car on ebay.
