Message	I did that on my old jeep, and well, it got off the crud, but stained them, just like your gf's car. Yes, i would only try car wheel cleaners, NO mineral spirits, etc. NOT AT ALL WORTH it to get off brake dust, and chance ruining a 2000.00 set of wheels...
