Spray on, let sit a bit and then use a soft bristled brush to work into the dimples. Might have to do it a second time.
Unfortunately on my White Z that area has been chipped enough that the black undercoat is pretty obvious. I'm going to spray-paint mine over this spring. White is pretty easy to match-up, easy to mask at the trim strip line and the bumpy finish is pretty forgiving to a do it yourself effort.
