Message valve springs. Even with the addition of the JWT VTC high pressure spring, the internal mechanism usually holds up for between 10k and 15k miles. I don't quite understand the dynamics of why they wear out, but the stouter valve springs wear out the internals of the VTC gears much sooner than with stock cams and springs. Power wise, they are quite a nice mod, spreading out the power band in the upper and lower RPM areas (The exhaust lobes are advanced 4 degrees to aid in spool up). Hope that makes sense, Mark
