My Z has been in the shop for the last 6 months for an engine rebuild and it was finally finished yesterday. After a short test drive, the bolt holding the idler pulley broke causing the timing belt to go slack. Of course, now the valves are bent. The engine hasn't been taken apart since, but I'm hoping that my brand new forged pistons survived. At this point, I'm ready to give up on the whole thing. I've sunk so much money and time into it and doesn't seem worth it anymore. I love the car but I just don't know what to do about this whole thing. If I fix it and keep it, who knows what else is going to happen. No real question or information, just frustration.
