We cant do those tire smoking drifts like the big power guys. All we have going for us is entry speed due to lack of weight. I'm down to a bit over 2100lbs at the moment. As of now, though, my tire wear isnt too bad. Starting on brand new tires all around I can probably make it through an event on a new pair of rears moderating my runs or I'll go through 2 pairs if I'm really doing a lot of runs and overheating them. Right now I'm using an AE101 4A-GZE supercharged powerplant. Dynoed 153rhp and 151 torque but that was with problems. After I get them resolved I expect to see about 165-170 rwhp and, if I decide to continue with the corolla, I'll go turbocharged which should net me 200+ fairly easily. We'll see how it goes in Formula D this season.
