Problem I have. I bought an R1 racing gauge two years back, finally got a chance to install it and since it is mechanical I have already hooked up the nylon tube to the engine port. But, it is supposed to change colors and the 4 wires yellow, blue, red and green lead to a female connector with 4 tiny places to insert a male connector. The male connector I don't have and on the instructions with the gauge says it requires a control box and a control module. I think if I just ge the harness with the right male connector I can take it from there. But R1 racing sports seems to no nothing about where to purchase this harness or unit, now. They claim they no longer sale the gauge and know no one who does. They even turned me on to Powertech in Florida and the guy there says yes, I have it, no I don't, yes I have it.... I don't know what to think. I am on a wild goose chase for a simple harness. The gauge works I just need it to light up. How can I do this without splicing into the wires. While experimenting I hooked the female connector up to my control module that operates my dash gauges but the dash module has 5 male inserts instead of 4. It did turn the gauge on and it lit all 4 colors just like the 4 wires. (yellow, blue, red and green) But it was not the proper connection because it Immediatedly turned out the dash light. But when I unplugged the module and hooked it back up to the dash lights, the dash lights worked again. So does anyone know where I can get that connection or harness for the gauge lights? I can email you a picture or fax you the diagram of what it looks like.
