Message box around the graph you obtain and the T-S parameters of the Sub. The fact that you are running subs that require an enclosure is the reason yo are getting sloppy, limited performance. In short if your not seprating the front and rear waves your not controlling the movement of the cone and exceeding it's mechanical limits. If you sealed off the board and used the trunk area as a box reponse would be better, but still not optimal since it is much bigger than required to control the speaker.

Do yourself a favor and read up on car audio. learn what is required in building a box and measuring the the transfer funtion of your car and then set it up right. Don't listen to these people about your system being inferior. When you PROPERLY set up your sub system if will far exceed the Db levels your friend gets in in smaller enclosed truck. Sorry this is so brief, but I don't feel like talking about something you have no knowledge of. Goos luck
