Message I had the work done last Thursday, it's just taken me a few days to find the camera, charge it, and find some free time to take pics ;)

I've known Ash for a few years now and the work he did was as great as ever. He installed an SBC-iD III boost controller and speedmeter (speedmeter's only real function is to transmit vehicle speed to the BC so I can control boost by speed, and therefore gear). Also installed were a-arms (front and rear) and new t-rods.

Under the hood, Ash sure knows his stuff. dhu. He ran all new wastegate lines/hoses for me. Found some split, unconnected, and otherwise backward lines - Ash fixed it all. Ran equal length hoses for the actuators, etc etc. I know my bay is not pretty - I'm going to redo it all in a deeper red I think:

I thought my car used to run pretty smooth. It idled a little high though, around 1050rpm. After Ash applied his magic touch under the hood and rectified my hose situations - the thing just purrs. You can't even tell it's running (visually looking at the engine), idles along at a perfectly solid 800rpm now.

It should also be noted that I now know what a properly running car feels like. Spoolup was crap before.. I have Sport 500s (as my license tag indicates - pic later) and now I know spoolup is pretty darn good :) 11psi feels equal to the 17psi I used to run before (on boost jets). And now 14-15psi seems unreal. Let alone 18psi + 20 degree weather (!!!). Sufficient just to say it rocks, even if I can't hook up in 1st gear with 1)11psi 2)automatic 3)Goodyear Eagle F1 supercars.

Ash fabbed up a beautiful mounting job for the controller and speedmeter, too. I was just standing there, and next thing I know I'm covering my ears - aluminum is being cut, plastic dremeled..eeeeeerrrRReeEE. Which produces the nice aluminum panel the units are mounted upon. All I have to say is dang. Ash roxors my fab world. I would've had them sitting in the cubbie or something. His work is bar-none.

Should've vacuumed:

Forgive the nasty marks from my fan switch :(

Moving to the suspension - something I probably could've done with directions (and more time in my life, lol). Ash knew exactly what he was doing. SPL parts are great, do exactly what they're supposed to. I've had these for close to a year lol, now they're finally on. Front not pictured for obvious ease of picture taking reasons:

I cannot stress enough how Ash did NOT rush anything, even with the apparent boundless knowledge he possess (I think he bought it from the dark underlord....j/k). He was careful and meticulous with everything. Never rushed, and didn't charge me more even though it took longer than we had said. A lot of stuff had to be fixed under the hood, lol.

I told Ash if he weren't a man, I'd have hugged him. Instead, we shook hands and I gave him cash ;) Thanks Ash!

I also recently installed a pair of Corbeau seats, which I've owned for a year. I had heard that you have to lose the stock belts and go to a harness for these - not true. I actually fabwhored these babies. Stock belts, but I got a pair of buckles out of an early 90s Nissan pickup - long buckle so it reaches. The problem is with aftermarket seats is that there is no mounting bracket for the buckle assemlbly - you have mount it under the seat where the rail bolts to the car. The nissan truck buckle is long enough though to still reach above the seat, and not to mention is pliable. The stockers are steel that aren't going to bend, and more importantly aren't going to reach.

You can see the buckle's head poking out here:

Lastly, but not least, props to the Admin of TT.net - it matches the paint very well and I think they needed a pic of the silver stickers, so here it is:

My Z how it sits:

Getting painted with the next few weeks; Jspec fascia going on, Kaminari wing going on, new fenders going on, Borla coming off, Labree coming in mail soon and going on :)

Mega-Thanks again to Ash. This man has so many ideas for the Z.. We're lucky to have him. Thanks to admin and SPL for the parts too.
