the engine accelerates/decelerates quicker with the aluminum flywheel, but the added rotational momentum of a heavier flywheel is nice on the upshift to tide you over for the split second untill the boost returns. Yes, it shows gains on the dyno, but in real world driving it is probably a wash. For road courses, the aluminum flywheel is nice, particularly if you are not adept at heel-toe shifting techniques
