I have a dyno chart for our Stage 3's without any portwork, cams, manifolds, tuning, or any of the stuff we really like to see on a car when we are releasing dyno charts on a new product. Using a out of the box pump fuel program with race fuel at around 27 psi.We know that these turbos are capable of 700 rwhp with all the extras and custom tuning. So here is a chart of a car we recently put together with them w/o all the extras. This does show their excellent response.
Here is the same chart superimposed with that from a heavier modded car we recently worked on and dynoed with JWT Sport 700's. Almost the same boost and the same fuel as was used in the Z1 Stage 3 car. The Sport 700 BB car had headwork and cams and the Stage 3 does not.
The Sport 700BB car makes a little more power later on because of some of the extra mods it has, but the response leaves a lot to be desired, hence JWT's use of the .86 A/R turbine housing on the Sport 700BB. We used to offer this turbo in the same form as the JWT but we have modified it to gain substantial response without significantly affecting peak power. The .64 turbine housing we use isn't restrictive enough to actually choke it up and hurt the power. That makes the .86 turbine housing just overkill, so much that you end up with the lag and don't really pick up anything on the top because the .64 wasn't really a restriction to begin with.
