Message	manual cars have a neutral safety switch installed. Not sure when, but it was in the 80's. And, don't forget you can sue your insurance co. It is not their choice to pay. If they feel that it is the shops fault, they need to sue the shop. If you sue the shop and loose, you will have to turn around and sue you insurance co. This is their job, make them do it.
