So I stumbled across this website where you can take a small picture and pixelize it, blow it up to gigantic proportions, format it into a PDF file ready to print onto multiple pages, and save to your harddrive. Basically, it is a much easier and better implemented version of my "poster" making method that I used a few years ago to decorate my apartment. Here are some photos that I took of my first attempt at using it:

It is roughly 6.5 feet x 4.5 feet. I had a difficult time accurately capturing the image as it appears to the naked eye, but if you can imagine something a bit more distinct/sharper than the first one but not as much as the second one, then you can get an idea for it. The effect is a bit of a cross between pointilism and impressionism, and really works quite nicely on a large scale. The file that I created uses 28 sheets of standard paper (4 rows by 7 columns), but you can crop the images and specify your own sizes as well. One important thing to remember when printing one of these off: don't forget to turn the printer resolution down unless you can blow fat wads of cash on printer cartridges! I wasn't paying attention when I hit print, and I ended up going through an entire brand new print cartridge, and I still ran out of ink before the last 5 pages finished printing (which is why the poster is incomplete in the photos). Anyhow, since I know that some of you other guys are also narcissistic Z picture whores with impeccable artistic/aesthetic tastes, I thought I would share this lovely service: The Rasterbator
