Oahu's pretty cool. Beautful beaches, mountains, and women. I've only been here since May full time, but doesn't seem like a whole lot to do on Friday nights and weekends. Everybody's SUPER laid back it seems- especially on the road...sometimes it's REALLY frustrating to drive here- nobody seems to be going anywhere in a hurry, and I'm usually in a hurry! I'm from Malaysia, and people drive like lunatics there, but somehow I'm a little more accustomed to it! Plus, RIDICULOUSLY low speed limits here...and cops hiding around EVERY corner to give you a ticket...not kidding one bit...been hit twice for the most retarded speeding...37 and 39 in a 25 mph zone- I swear it's the red Z- it's not even a TT...mom's in minivans go blazing by and do they get stopped? Noooooo.... :( Highways are even more of a joke- 50 mph for most of the major highways, some sections out west are 65 mph I think. Driving in a circle around the island also gets a little boring sometimes...I want to be able to go for a good LONG run, and a little hard to do it ANYWHERE. But, all said, it's pretty cool, and I'm getting to like the place! Definitely going to invest in a GOOD radar detector soon!
