This is sort of going along with SpeedyZX's post regarding ebay, luckily I havent gotten taken advantage of yet. My g/f has tried to sell her laptop on ebay twice now, with no luck. The first time some goober tried to tell her he was sending money with Bidypay and that as soon as he sent the money she needed to send the laptop so he could get it by Jan 1st. Well I saw what was going on and luckily stopped her (sometimes she isnt "all" there) telling her it was a scam, and that he needed to wait for payment reception before the product was sent. He didnt like that too much and "cancelled" the payment. Kinda goes along with my initial theory that he could cancel payment anytime. The service he used didnt even contact my g/f regarding whether or not she was going to send the product Next we have looser number two, who sends her this email: Dear xxxxxxx Dear seller, i find your item much irresistable so i feel the need to negotiate with you on the sale of this item or more unit if available. Fisrtly, i will like to know the current condition of the item. I need the item urgently so i can meet the sales targetted for this year. I have an offer that i hope you will grant. I am ready to pay for the item immediately with an offer of 10% increment plus your buy it now price/reserve price without delay. I will handle the shipping charges with the companys' Fed Ex discount account as the item is to be shipped to Africa. For faster transaction and immediate payment, do provide your info, name, address and phone number. I will be making payment via Western Union(MO). I also want you to ship the item after confirmation and approval of the funds from Western Union. I do await your positive and prompt reply. Thank you Phone # (+2348035703984) Compliments! I almost laughed at this one, but its shitty how she cant even try to sell her laptop w/out all the leaches trying to scam a laptop from her. Be careful guys!
