Message	about splitting the posts into 2 databases - 1 for posts from the beginning until say June 2003, then another for everything more current than that. Then change the search options to switch between the 2 databases. You then wouldn't need to keep re-indexing the older data, which would hopefully make the indexing process less painful and mroe reliable. It might not even be possible, but hopefully someone with more knowledge on the subject can at least shoot my idea down if it's not possible. Rule #1 - There's always a bastard!
