just wondering cause I got to go to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety one time to see a 30-mph offset frontal crash and it was a minivan like that. Shit is freaky cause you're standing on this elevated mezzanine and this car comes flying out from underneath you at 60 mph (to simulate each car going 30 mph) and crashes into this huge (approx. 12'w x 12'd x 8'h) concrete block in the center of the room with some aluminum honeycomb on one corner to simulate the deformability of the other vehicle. Anyway, one of the dummy's knees wasn't looking too good after it hit the bolster - which is what I thought of when you said van and chipped knee. The dummy also got a good crack on the noggin' when it came back and hit the b-pillar, but it sounds like your mom did a little better.
