Message	cause u can connect a dvd player, tv tuner, or mpegs and view it on the screen. The units that slide out revealing a 7 inch lcd that play dvd's cost way to much. I wasent looking to spend more than 500 dollars and the units with the 7 inch lcd displays r much more than that (unless soemone here is sellign one for ~500 dollars or knows of a good website) so this sony is basically the "poor mans lcd head unit).
