Message increase? or is it the reduction in the size of the pulley?

If its reduction, couldn't you just resize the Waterpump pulley to get back to the correct ratio?

The only reason i've held back as of now is I don't want both my waterpump and alternator spinning slower than normal. I have a pretty hefty sound system load and it dims pretty bad @ idle right now. I'm going with an upgraded alternator soon but not with recent engine problems =\.
