That really bites !! I can't believe the position on the drivers seat. They had damn well better pay the full market value of the 95TTz with the upgrades that you've done - if the ins. carrier gives you any crap remind them that your Z was one of less than 600 imported into North America that year and if the Z is a total loss (I don't like the way the floor looks under the rt seat and the rt rear suspension) make sure the comparable vehicle the market evaluation firm (hired by the ins. co to value your veh before the loss) finds is in your area, is available, and has apprx the same miles and condition. The typical game is they find a private party ad for a vehicle one year older or one year newer with diff. mileage and make "adjustments" to make the price it sold for "comparable" to your vehicle. Also, the ins. co. will tell you it is their decision whether to total the car and pay you for it or have the vehicle repaired. Be careful here, I agree with your point on the damage and I wouldn't want it either with that type of structural damage. Email me if you have any questions once this process gets started.
