The Supra was about 60-65K
The 300ZX was about 40KThe 300ZX Set the bar for a sports car the Supra had to meet or reach that bar. Thus the Supra has the following advantages over the 300ZX.
1) Bigger Injectors
2) Slightly Bigger Turbos
3) More efficient Intercoolers Thus the Supra is able to boost up alot higher. Thus the Supra is faster when modded to the same levels of a 300ZX. A Couple of things I like about the Supra is
1) It comes with 17" wheels and wider foot print
2) Has Traction control
3) Its a 6 Speed.
4) Adjustable Tilt steering
5) Very Solid engine.
6) Easier Turbo replacement What I don't like about supras 1) Big long nose, side view, and top view.. rear is nice.
2) Non sports car feel.. (it does handle just not as much fun)
3) The sequential turbo spool up makes the car feel smooth and not powerful.
But you know for 25K more for a Supra it better have something more than a 300ZX. And don't go by current market price because thats just a bunch of BS. And weight difference between the two cars is negilable.
So the bottom line is two reach a BPU Supra in raw power you need intercoolers, and injectors. Slightly bigger turbo's would be nice. But all that means shit because of the Supra's on the track aren't running the numbers that they should be. IE it doesn't matter how much power you have if you can't control it or know to plant it to the ground.
