Think of all the things a Supra can't take away. Like the birth of a Supra was caused by a Z32. Toyota had to come back with something to compete with the Z32tt. Look at total sales. The Z32 killed the Supra by 10's of thousands. Look at fastest car using an OEM motor of all time. The Z32 did it one year in produce and the record still stands to this day. The Supra came 10 years later ( 2001 ) and was still 20mph under what the Z had done 10 years prior. Think of the history and heritage the car has dating back 30 years. Look at all the reputable magazines back from 89 to 96 that voted the Z, Car of the year, best overall etc. There was a Supra during 3 of those years. Where was it at in the award ceremonies? Having a car is not all about who's got the most power. I love my Z far more than any car out there still. Magazines know that numbers sell both 1/4 miles and Dyno and that the kids eat it up. It's all about sales. People should feel lucky to even own such a car nowadays at the highschool level. Back when I was in school, people where still sporting muscle cars and carburetors, lol.
