Yeah those kinds of quick changes are great when you're pushing it, but not so great when you're just putting along in traffic. And even when you're driving on a track, sometimes you intentionaly want to make a slow gear change. The reason I found it a pain in slow traffic is because you can't just slip the clutch a bit to creep forward, and the car doens't creep on it's own like an auto, so you end up jerking the car forward all the time.
