Message found guilty by a jury in his own hometown of Flandreau, SD, after running a stop sign and killing a motorcyclist. He quit Congress and got 100 days in jail, 3 years probation. He was a chronic speeder and used to run stop signs in rural areas as a matter of habit, and brag about it, with over thirteen tickets to show for it.
