just keep the full coveregae during the winter. Of course, it all depends on what you are paying and what the difference is... It's my 2nd car, so it isn't a huge amount more than if I were to cover it as being stored. And this way I am able to move/drive it if need be, without worrying about making a call to Ins. to cover it for a day or a week. I refuse to drive it without collision insurance.
