| technically its illegal in alot of places too, which i dont get.. but the purpose is to take your finger or fingers....wiggle them around near where a catfish will hang out(like under banks, rocks etc) and get them to bit. some of these guys pull out huge cafish, which has bitten on about halfway up their arm. on a side note fried catfish is one of my favorite foods.
