they must certainly be taking it to the ragged edge. One must remember that tuning doesn't always mean to squeeze the absolute most amount of power out of it. This means that there is going to be a degree (no pun intended) of 'margin' in the tune and steps of 1 degree is plenty enough. Typically you are buffering by 3-5 degrees from the limit, hardly enough to warrant having tenths of a degree. I can say that in no time I have spent on the dyno did I ever say to myself, "Man, I wish I could put another few tenths of a degree in there", LOL. There are just too many other factors that have largely variable properties like temperature, octane of fuel, atmospheric conditions to warrant the need for tenths of a degree of tunability.
