Message is instantaneous. You don't have to worry about turbulence upsetting the MAS hot wire sensor readings. A lot of the stand alones like the AEM will self tune with a wide band hook up. They call it auto mapping. You have full knock control. Coolant, EGT and air temperature corrections.
