Message thats the problem, they lie and claim 40K or less etc etc, for 1600-1800 most likely youll get a pretty ratty motor, for 2K+ a very nice one can be had, selection is the key, in japan there is 3 types of motors, class C junk ones that prolly will need rebuilds most of them have 100K+ miles (most $1200-1800 motors here in the US) then there is a class B good motor usually costs $2K and has roughly 60K actual miles, and there is a class A mint motor that is found in japan has (like new) with less then 30-40K actual confirmed miles those go for closer to 3K but well worth it, these vehicles were most likely were involved in accidents and have newer or lower mile motors in them. Most USDM importers buy the class C junk ones for a large profit margin (can be bought in Japan for 500-900 bucks) or good motors (rarely imported cause of increased cost and lower profit cause they know most customers wont pay more for the better motor since everybody claims 30-40Kmiles on thiers so there isnt any point in making their profits lower and raising costs on the buyers. Few places can import a motor that YOU want, just tell them what you want they can locate and import it for you, alot pf them have picture of what they located and confirmed milage. Good luck on your find.-Ed
