Message :First off, lemme say i have no experience with Ash, and no longer have my Z. (currently looking) I had an approx. stage 10. JWT ecu. I'll make this short. I dyno'd my car made only 300rwhp. I started looking around for things. My dyno-tuner told me that i was running way too rich and i lookt at the sheets. the first 3K rpm were fine...course i made approx. 290 rwhp at around 3500rpm. Then it pretty much stayed level through the rest. THAT is where it dropt down to the low of 10.2:1 AFR. That's bullshit in my opinion. I had some other problems at the time contributing to my lack of HP, but i called JWT regarding the 10.2 and getting my ecu remapped, but he said it sounds like it's working great(btw, JIM said this). He said if it only touched 10.2, that was good, his main range he shoots for is 10.5:1. NO. I don't think so. NOT GOOD. SAFE=good for you....10.5:1=UNNECESSARY LOSS OF POWER!!!! 11.0:1 is safe. 11.5:1 is good and i'd trust it. 11.8-12.0:1 is more like it. THAT is optimum. WOW! 10.2:1, hey Ash when i get my next Z you'll be hearing from me. Or i'll be getting a stand alone and mappin' my own.(with help) Just thought i'd letcha'll know where i stand....behind neither. But Ash still has a chance with me. lol. ;) just to keep things goin.

Yup.

I tried to contact Ash a while back about his Zemulator as I wanted to work with him on it (at the calibration level). I think he got freaked out because of where I work (even though we now work on only domestic flash processors).

Maybe he thought I was going to try and steal his idea?
Dunno....but he seems to be a bright individual and I wouldn't mind working with him on optimizing the Z's tune when I get another Z (hell, even before then).

I'm a junkie.... =o)
