the goofy doors and back seat don't fly with me. Seems like a lot of the jap designs esp are taking a step back or a giant step forward, whatever one wishes to believe. I think the "new edge" styling trend is either altogether bad or poorly executed by the makers, ie celica, muffstain, etc. I like fluidity in design but maybe I am on the trailing edge. Sometimes it seems like I could go out in the garage with some fiberglass and make a better design than most of what is out there. I think personally the car companies are trying to have their cake and eat it pardon the exp. They want multiplatform vehicles that appeal to all ages and income levels, good but not great performance, exceptions everywhere to sell volume. Here is where I start to like dodge at least design wise. The Viper is no bullshit car and it is an image for the company, the pt cruiser, prowler all benefit the whole company image. Maybe the new z will be a good car but look at what it could have been vs. what it will be and judge it by that. I think it will be neat but not revolutionary.
